- Respect the Moderators; they are responsible for maintaining order and balance within the chat room. The Moderators on this site occasionally monitor the chat room to ensure that users are following the Terms of Use. They have the ability to "kick" or "ban" (disallow access) users who are being disruptive or are not following the Terms of Use. All decisions by the Moderators are final. If you feel you were treated unfairly by a Moderator, you may lodge a complaint.
- It is expected of all users to be courteous to other chatters and to follow the rules of good "Net-iquette". Discussions of any topic are just fine, as long as everyone can be respectful of each other. Disagreement and debate is allowed but these are not the places to flame, trash, diss or otherwise attack people inside or outside of the chat room. Insults and/or rude comments directed at another user in a malicious manner will not be permitted.
- We believe in freedom of speech. Therefore, cussing will be allowed as long as it is moderated in its usage. Crossing the line with excessive profanity or racist remarks will result in banning with or without warning.
- NO CYBER-SEX! Such behaviour is prohibited, including within Private Messages. If anyone is speaking in such a manner to you, it is your responsibility to report it to a Moderator or to the site owners. If cyber-sex is where you get fulfillment in life, take it to an Instant Messenger.
- PEDOPHILES BEWARE! If we even catch a sniff of any pedophile activity taking place on this site, you will be instantly reported to your local FBI agency.
- NO FLOODING! Flooding is considered to be repetitive posts that flood the chat room, regardless of the hour or amount of chatters. There is a flood check program in these rooms set for 16 consecutive posts, which will result in your being unable to post for 15 minutes or until someone else posts. Anyone caught deliberately flooding will have their name banned for an indefinite period of time until they can earn their name back.
- When banned once, you may be allowed in only after agreeing with the Terms of Use. Further offenses may result in permanent banning. Any attempts at retaliation from being banned, or for any other reason, will be reported to your ISP. Everyone's ISP information is recorded upon entering the domain, and particularly the chat rooms. With this information, you can be traced and reported.
- NO ADVERTISING! Family friendly URL's are allowed to be posted. Under no circumstances are URL's to other chat rooms, or to any form of advertisement, permitted. Posting of such URL's will result in being banned from the chat room.
- If you encounter anything unsuitable for children or any abusive activity, we strongly encourage you quickly record all the user and time information available, leave the chat room, and e-mail the facts to us.
HINTS
- We encourage the use of good grammar and spelling in all posts.
- When replying to a post, it is helpful to address the person by user name in the response.
- Typing in all capital letters is synonymous with shouting and considered rude and/or offensive.
- Be careful about using sarcasm and humour. Without face-to-face communication, your joke may be misinterpreted. Use emoticons to help you express your emotion in chat.
- NEVER publicly post e-mail addresses, phone numbers, or anything that would compromise your location or identity. If you do give out information to anyone in the chat rooms, you are 100% responsible for any outcome as a result.
- If you enjoy this chat room, please tell your friends. We rely on word-of-mouth to keep this site going and we need your support. If you tell your friends and they tell their friends, there will be more people to meet and chat with.
